I specialize in trauma, grief and symptoms adjacent to trauma like anxiety, depression and grief. I utilize modalities that focus on enhancing your strengths and honoring your values.
I use a person centered approach that assumes you are the expert on yourself. I specialize in trauma survivors, grief, parents, postpartum mothers,veterans, workplace trauma (medical field & first responders) and especially those with loved ones struggling with addiction/mental illness.

Individual counseling services are designed to help you overcome personal challenges and achieve your goals. If you feel that you are not reaching your full potential, don't feel like yourself or need an unbiased perspective about a challenge or concern, it may be time to start therapy. Some of the most common concerns I work with include; unexpected life transitions, perfectionism, work/school stressors, dating and relationships, habit breaking/formation and behavior change.
If you have experienced something traumatic, whether it was one event or many over time, it is important you seek counseling from a trained trauma counselor. Trauma informed therapy will help you feel safe, secure and help you rebuild a life worth living. Trauma work involves exploring and repairing your narrative about what happened, learning about any physical discomfort from the trauma, understanding your triggers and regaining a sense of control.
Overcoming grief, whether it is anticipated or sudden is hard to navigate alone. Many people struggle to adapt to the loss after the dust has settled. Grief therapy can help whether you are recovering from a recent loss or feel that you never resolved one from the past. Are you someone who is" grieving the living"? Have you "lost" a loved one to addiction, mental illness, estrangement, cognitive issues (Traumatic Brain Injury, dementia, etc )? Grieving the living can be more complicated and painful than a typical loss from death for many reasons and talking it out can help.
Throughout the year I offer various support groups which span over 8 weeks. Group therapy is less time consuming and a more affordable therapy option. Group is great for building connection and learning new coping skills. These groups include Mom Support Groups, Grief Support Groups and a Self-Help Book Club.
